Welsh Wanderer - 5 days

We kick off our journey from central London, heading towards the Cotswolds, an area renowned for its outstanding natural beauty. We make our way through picturesque English villages, pausing for photo opportunities. Crossing into Wales, our first stop is Hay-on-Wye, a charming town famous for its numerous bookshops. We then drive through the breathtaking Elan Valley and the Cambrian Mountains before reaching our destination for the day, the coastal town of Aberystwyth. Here, we will spend the next two nights at the Bodalwyn, GwesTY Guest House, The Glengower, or similar accommodations.

On the second day, we embark on a day trip from Aberystwyth into the majestic mountains of Snowdonia National Park. Our first stop is the village of Beddgelert, home to the grave of Gelert, the legendary dog from Welsh folklore. We then visit the historic Harlech Castle, a fortress built by King Edward I during his conquest of Wales. After a day of exploration, we return to Aberystwyth for a leisurely evening. We will stay overnight at the Bodalwyn, GwesTY Guest House, The Glengower, or similar accommodations.

On day three, we depart Aberystwyth and journey along the stunning coastline of Cardigan Bay, passing through the delightful town of Aberaeron to reach New Quay. Here, you can enjoy a leisurely walk on the beach and possibly spot whales off the coast. We then head inland to visit the Dinefwr Estate and its ruined castle. We also make a brief stop in Laugharne, where the renowned Welsh poet Dylan Thomas lived and penned his famous work 'Under Milk Wood'. Our day ends in the seaside town of Tenby, where we will spend the night at the Southcliff Guest House or similar accommodations.

On the fourth day, we explore the south-west of Wales, starting with the scenic Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the birthplace of St David, the patron saint of Wales. We then visit the UK's smallest city, St Davids, named after the patron saint. After a leisurely lunch, we head to the medieval town of Pembroke, known for its well-preserved walls and ruined castle. We return to Tenby for our final evening, where we will stay overnight at the Southcliff Guest House or similar accommodations.

On the final day of our tour, we leave Tenby and start our journey back to London. We make a stop at the National Museum of History in St Fagans, where you can delve into the rich history of Wales. We then cross the Severn back into England and stop at the picturesque village of Castle Combe in the Cotswolds, a quintessential English village. Finally, we complete our journey back to London, bringing an end to our unforgettable five-day tour.
