Description

Set off from Edinburgh for an unforgettable day exploring the rugged beauty of the Scottish Highlands. Your adventure begins with scenic views of the Kelpies and Stirling Castle before heading north into Highland territory, where you’ll pause for refreshments in Balquhidder or Callander, depending on the season.

As you journey deeper into the Highlands, keep an eye out for the iconic Highland cows and soak in the dramatic landscapes. The tour continues to Glencoe, a glen famed for its cinematic history and haunting past, where you’ll have time to capture stunning photos and learn about the 1692 MacDonald clan massacre.

Travel along the shores of Loch Linnhe to Fort William, nestled at the foot of Ben Nevis, the UK’s highest peak. After a short stop to enjoy the Highland air, you’ll arrive at the legendary Glenfinnan Viaduct, a must-see for Harry Potter fans and lovers of breathtaking scenery alike.

Enjoy a nature walk to a viewpoint overlooking the viaduct and Loch Shiel, where you may catch the Jacobite Steam Train crossing the bridge during its seasonal run. Stroll along the shores of Loch Shiel, famously featured as the Black Lake in the Harry Potter films, and immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere.

On your return to Edinburgh, stop at the Commando Memorial for panoramic views of the Nevis Range. The route passes through the Cairngorms National Park and the charming Victorian town of Pitlochry, where you can stretch your legs or grab a bite before arriving back in the city. Book your spot now to experience the best of the Scottish Highlands in a single day!
