Turkey individually - hiking the Lycian Way (8 days)

Arrive individually in the tranquil village of Faralya, nestled on the stunning Lycian coast. Settle into your accommodation at Onur Motel (or similar), where you can unwind and prepare for the adventure ahead. Enjoy a delicious dinner as you anticipate the start of your journey along the Lycian Way the following morning.

Begin your trek at the official starting point of the Lycian Way in Ovacik, marked by a prominent sign. The scenic high route hugs the coastline at the base of Baba Dagi, offering breathtaking sea vistas. After a rewarding day of hiking, arrive back in Faralya for a restful evening and a hearty dinner at Onur Motel (or similar).

Embark on a challenging descent from Faralya to the secluded Butterfly Valley, a pristine haven accessible only by foot or boat. Revel in the tranquility of the beach before retracing your steps to Faralya. In the afternoon, continue your journey past a spectacular viewpoint above the valley, winding through pine forests until you reach the peaceful village of Kabak. Spend the night at Full Moon Camping (or similar), enjoying dinner under the stars.

Set off through lush pine forests and the picturesque Kabak Valley, traversing a dry riverbed before ascending steeply to the charming village of Alinca. From this vantage point, catch your first glimpse of Gey, the day's final destination, perched at the tip of the peninsula. After a rewarding hike, arrive in Gey and relax at Bayram's Gasthaus (or similar), where dinner awaits.

Journey from the elevated village of Gey through terraced farmlands to the quaint village of Bey. Continue towards the pine-clad Belcegiz plateau, soaking in the serene landscapes, before reaching the small hamlet of Gavuragil. Enjoy a restful evening and dinner at Flower Pension (or similar).

Take a break from hiking and immerse yourself in the region's rich history and natural wonders. Visit the ancient city of Xanthos, once the heart of Lycia, and explore the impressive ruins of Letoon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon, marvel at the dramatic Saklikent Gorge, one of Turkey's longest and deepest canyons. Return to Flower Pension (or similar) for a relaxing evening and dinner.

On your final hiking day, set out from Gelemis across the unspoiled Patara Peninsula to the ancient aqueduct of Delikkemer. The route meanders through a sparsely populated natural paradise, eventually revealing the whitewashed houses of Kalkan, perched above the bay. Celebrate your journey with a final dinner and overnight at Flower Pension (or similar).

After a final breakfast, enjoy a private transfer to the airport, marking the end of your unforgettable Lycian adventure.
