Morocco the Imperial Cities

We start our journey from the sunny Costa del Sol, crossing the Strait of Gibraltar to reach Tangier. Upon arrival in Morocco, we embark on a guided tour to explore the surroundings of Tangier, including the fascinating Grottos de Hercules and Cape Spartel. You'll have some free time to explore on your own before we head to our hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, we journey through the Middle Atlas towards Fez. Our first stop is the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, where you'll marvel at the beautifully preserved Decumanus Maximus and the Arc de Triomphe of Caracalla. We then continue to Meknès, an imperial city that was once the capital of Morocco. Here, we'll explore the medina, the bustling ElHedim square, and the stunning Bab Al Mansour gate. We arrive in Fez in the afternoon for dinner and overnight stay.

We start the day with a hearty breakfast before embarking on a tour of Fez, the intellectual and religious capital of Morocco. We'll visit the Royal Palace with its seven majestic gates, and then delve into the labyrinthine medina of Fez El Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With over 785 mosques and countless squares, streets, and alleys, the medina offers a fascinating glimpse into the city's rich history and vibrant culture.

We leave Fez after breakfast and head to Casablanca, the economic heart of Morocco. Here, you'll have some free time to enjoy lunch along the famous Corniche and visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, built by over 3,000 artisans. In the afternoon, we continue our journey to Marrakech, where we'll have dinner and settle in for the night.

After breakfast, we set out to explore Marrakech, starting with the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, which once served as a bookstore. We then visit the sumptuous Bahia Palace, built in the 19th century by artisans from Fez. Our journey continues through the Jewish quarter to the bustling Djmaa El Fna square, a living museum and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you'll encounter storytellers, snake charmers, jugglers, dancers, and more. We'll also explore the souk and its bustling alleys before returning to our accommodation.

We leave Marrakech after breakfast and head to Rabat, the administrative capital of Morocco and the official residence of the royal family. Upon arrival, we'll visit key sites such as the Tour Hassan, an unfinished mosque with over 200 columns, and the Mausoleum of Mohamed V, a monument dedicated to the sultan who achieved the country's independence. After a day of exploration, we'll enjoy dinner and settle in for the night.

After breakfast, we depart from Rabat and head back to Tangier, where we'll embark on our return journey to Spain. Upon arrival at the Costa del Sol, our staff will assist you with your transfers. This marks the end of our unforgettable Moroccan adventure.
