Take a break from hiking and journey by vintage train and electric bus to the vibrant city of Brasov, the cultural heart of Transylvania. Discover the city’s medieval core on a guided tour, then enjoy time at leisure to explore its architectural gems and lively squares. In the late afternoon, savor traditional Romanian cuisine at a local restaurant before returning by train to the peaceful village of Magura.

Descend into the valley to visit the renowned LiBearty Bear Sanctuary, a haven for over a hundred rescued brown bears. After learning about their inspiring stories, embark on a gentle hike through meadows to the historic village of Vulcan. Here, you’ll be welcomed at a fortified Lutheran church, where you can enjoy refreshments and discover the rich heritage of the Transylvanian Saxons before returning to Magura.

Begin your day with a hike through the dramatic Zarnesti Gorge, carved by ancient waters through the limestone cliffs of Piatra Craiului. Ascend to Curmatura Cabin, nestled beneath towering rock walls, and, for those seeking a challenge, continue to the summit of Piatra Mica for breathtaking panoramic views. Descend through alpine meadows and forests, returning to Magura for your final night in this enchanting region.
