MINI TOUR OF SICILY from PALERMO TO CATANIA

Welcome to the vibrant city of Palermo! Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by our driver and transferred to your hotel. After checking in, you'll receive details about the next day's activities. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure, perhaps exploring the city or simply relaxing at the hotel. Dinner will be on your own, and you'll spend the night at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, we'll head to Monreale to visit the magnificent Norman Cathedral, a masterpiece of Arab-Norman art. We'll then return to Palermo, a city rich in history and culture. Here, we'll explore the eclectic Cathedral, the stunning Martorana Church, and the impressive Cappella Palatina. We'll also stop at a local bakery to sample the city's delicious street food. After lunch, we'll continue our tour with a visit to the famous Teatro Massimo and the iconic Pretoria Square. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

After breakfast, we'll transfer to the medieval town of Cefalù. Here, we'll visit the stunning Norman Dome and enjoy some free time to explore the town or visit the famous Mandralisca Museum. We'll then proceed to Catania, where you'll have free time for lunch. In the afternoon, we'll explore Catania's historical center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its unique baroque architecture and black lava stone streets. Highlights include the scenic Duomo Square, University Square, and the splendid Via dei Crociferi. We'll also stop at a historic bar to taste the local 'granita & brioche'. Dinner will be on your own, and you'll spend the night in Catania.

After a short visit to Catania's ancient fish market, 'Pescheria', we'll head to Mount Etna, Europe's highest and most active volcano. Here, we'll explore the 'Crateri Silvestri' and enjoy stunning views of Sicily. We'll also stop to taste local homemade honey and other typical products. From there, we'll proceed to Taormina, where we'll visit the fascinating Greek theatre and enjoy some free time to explore the city. The day will end with a breathtaking view of the Riviera dei Ciclopi. We'll then return to the hotel for the night.
