Travel from Syracuse to the baroque city of Ragusa, then continue to the medieval hilltop town of Piazza Armerina. Here, marvel at the world-renowned Roman mosaics of Villa Romana del Casale, celebrated for their remarkable preservation and vivid depictions of ancient life. Your journey concludes in Agrigento, where you will spend the night (or similar). Breakfast is provided.

Continue your journey west, pausing in Marsala to witness some of Europe’s oldest salt marshes, before arriving in the coastal city of Trapani. Spend a full day discovering Trapani and its picturesque surroundings. You may opt to cruise to the idyllic Egadi Islands, hike through a local nature reserve, or ascend by funicular to the medieval walled town of Erice. Breakfast is included, and you will stay overnight in Trapani (or similar).

Travel to Monreale to admire the breathtaking 11th-century cathedral, adorned with intricate gold mosaics. Take in sweeping views of the Conca d’Oro and the Tyrrhenian Sea before continuing to Palermo. Upon arrival, get acquainted with Sicily’s capital on a guided orientation walk.
