7 Days Northern Lakes and Italian Riviera Tour - from Milan

We kick off our journey at 08:30 am from Milan, heading to the serene Lake Orta. We'll stop at the charming village of Orta San Giulio for a short visit, followed by a private boat tour to the island of San Giulio, home to the renowned Monastery Mater Ecclesie. We then proceed to Stresa, a picturesque town on the shores of Lake Maggiore. After lunch, we'll explore the quaint Isola del Pescatori and the elegant Isola Bella by private boat. Our day concludes with a scenic drive to Como, where we'll spend the night.

After breakfast, we'll explore the captivating town of Como, nestled on the shores of the stunning Lake Como. We'll then board a boat to Bellagio, a picturesque village known for its small streets, luxury hotels, and beautiful gardens. Post lunch, we'll embark on a panoramic drive to Bergamo, a city boasting a unique two-tiered structure - the modern and dynamic 'Lower town' and the historic 'Upper town'. We'll take a short walking tour through the old town, followed by a visit to the modern town, home to the best shops, restaurants, and museums. We'll spend the night in Bergamo.

Day three begins with a journey to Lake Garda, Italy's largest lake, known for its vibrant vegetation and Mediterranean climate. Our first stop is Sirmione, a town offering stunning panoramic views of the lake. We'll enjoy a boat tour to view the Sirmione Cape, the castle, and the Catullo's Grotto ruins. Next, we head to Lazise, a medieval village known for its castle. After lunch, we'll proceed to Verona, the city of love, where we'll spend the night.

Day four begins with a tour of Verona, a city that beautifully blends art and history. We'll visit Piazza Bra with the Arena, a Roman amphitheatre, and Juliet's Balcony, a symbol of love from Shakespeare's famous play. We then proceed to Lake Iseo, a hidden gem surrounded by hills and charming villages. After lunch, we'll head to Genoa, a vibrant seaport city with a rich history and a bustling city centre. We'll spend the night in Genoa.

Day five takes us to Rapallo, a popular tourist centre known for its beautiful architecture. We'll then proceed to Santa Margherita, a beautiful seaside city located in the Tigullio Gulf. After lunch, we'll visit Portofino, a picturesque village with colourful houses and a small port filled with luxurious yachts. We'll return to Genoa via a scenic road, where we'll spend the night.

Day six begins with a visit to Portovenere, a charming fishermen village at the end of La Spezia Gulf. We'll then take a ferry to Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its five picturesque villages. We'll explore Vernazza and Monterosso, both known for their medieval buildings and stunning landscapes. After lunch, we'll return to Genoa for the night.

On our final day, we'll revisit Rapallo and Portofino before heading to Santa Margherita. We'll then explore the western coast of Liguria, visiting Laigueglia, a picturesque fishing village, and Finalborgo, a medieval village nestled at the foot of the mountains. After lunch, we'll return to Milan, marking the end of our unforgettable Italian adventure.
