This activity starts at Chateau Vieux Clos, just a kilometer from the heart of Saint-Émilion, making it easy to access the region’s picturesque landscapes.
Begin your adventure with a safety briefing and an introduction to your restored Motobécane or Peugeot moped from the 1970s or 80s. Helmets and hygienic liners are provided, and you’ll set off either independently or with a guide, depending on your group size. The 35-kilometer route winds through scenic villages, rolling vineyards, and historic wine estates.
Along the way, you’ll journey through the famous Saint-Émilion appellation, with detours into the neighboring Pomerol and Montagne Saint-Émilion regions. The area is a UNESCO World Heritage site, celebrated for its exceptional terroir and breathtaking views. The loop is accessible for adults aged 18 and over, even if you have no prior moped experience.
Your tour includes moped rental, a full tank of fuel, insurance, digital roadbook, assistance if needed, and free parking at the château. Tastings and chateau visits are available as optional extras, payable on site. Meals and train station pick-up are not included but can be arranged on request.
The experience lasts around three to three and a half hours, with departures available in the afternoon or early evening. All riders need a valid driver’s license and closed shoes. Spaces fill fast, so check availability now and secure your spot for this unforgettable Bordeaux wine adventure!
