Welcome to Finland! Upon your arrival at Kuusamo airport, our guide will greet you and arrange your transfer to the Rajakartano guesthouse (or similar), located near the stunning Hossa National Park. Settle in and prepare for the exciting week ahead.

Day 2: Skiing in Hossa National Park

After breakfast, we'll embark on a skiing adventure through the well-groomed trails of Hossa National Park, known for its beautiful pine heathlands, ridges, and water bodies. Enjoy lunch at the Hossa Visitor Centre and browse through their souvenir shop. Upon returning to the guesthouse, unwind in a traditional Finnish sauna and, if you're feeling adventurous, try ice swimming.

Day 3: Exploring Martinselkonen Nature Reserve

We'll start the day with a short car transfer to Martinselkonen Wilderness Centre (or similar), where we'll spend the next two nights. Our circular tour will take us through the nature reserve, home to diverse birdlife and insects. Enjoy a picnic stop at a wilderness hut, and marvel at the flat terrain, mires, ponds, and ancient forests.

Day 4: Skiing in Martinselkonen

Today, we'll continue our exploration of Martinselkonen, skiing over frozen lakes and swamps, and through snow-covered forests. The serene silence, broken only by the sound of skis and poles, will make for an unforgettable experience.

Day 5: Journey to Arola

We'll bid farewell to Martinselkonen and head north through the nature reserve, home to Finland's large carnivores. In the afternoon, we'll arrive at Arola guest house (or similar), known for its delicious local food. Settle in and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day6

Day 6
Day 6: Day Tour Around Arola

Our last day will be spent exploring the surroundings of Arola. We'll enjoy a hot soup lunch and a selection of sandwiches around an open fire. In the afternoon, we'll return to the guesthouse for some relaxation. After a final sauna session, we'll gather for a farewell dinner made from local ingredients in the traditional log house.
