Experience an unforgettable rafting adventure on the Iskar River near Lakatnik, just 70 kilometers from Sofia, Bulgaria. Navigate through the dramatic Iskar Gorge, where you’ll be treated to spectacular views of the Lakatnik Rocks and vibrant local birdlife as you paddle along the river’s twists and turns.
Your journey begins at our well-equipped rafting base, which features private, secure parking and comfortable changing rooms. After gearing up with all necessary equipment, you will be transferred to the starting point of the rafting route, where an experienced guide will provide a thorough safety briefing.
Guided by experts fluent in English and Russian, you’ll tackle a variety of rapids with different profiles and levels of difficulty. Depending on the river’s water level, your adventure covers between 8 and 11 kilometers, making it the longest rafting track in the region. The total tour lasts approximately two and a half hours.
Throughout the trip, there are designated spots where you can jump in and swim in the cool river waters—your guide will let you know when it’s safe to do so. At the end of the adventure, you’ll conveniently finish right back at the rafting base, where your car awaits and you can change into dry clothes.
All essential rafting gear is provided, including a neoprene suit, shoes, jacket, helmet, and personal flotation device. Just remember to bring a towel, bathing suit or shorts, and a t-shirt or thermal shirt for cooler days.
